Bulk Shift Actions (edit, delete, copy/paste)
How to perform bulk actions on your schedule.
Sometimes you need to make multiple edits at once, assign someone to multiple shifts, copy shifts for a rotation, and more.
Here's how to perform all bulk shift actions on your schedule:
Bulk Edit Shifts
This action can be done from both the "Weekly by Shift time" and "Weekly by employee" schedule views.
- From the "Schedule" tab, select the shifts you want to bulk edit by checking the boxes located over the position on the shift.

- Once two or more boxes are checked, you will see a blue bar at the top of your screen. Click "Edit".

A window will pop up that says "Any changes made will overwrite existing shift details".

- Change the shift time or color, and then click "Advanced" to change their labels.

- To edit the assignment of shifts you must select two shifts with identical positions (You will see this note if you do not select identical positions)

- If you have selected multiple shifts with identical positions, you will see a drop-down menu where you can assign selected shifts to the same staff member or turn them into open shifts.

- Click save and you will see that the shifts you selected will have the edits you just made.
Bulk Delete Shifts
This action can be done from both the "Weekly by Shift time" and "Weekly by employee" schedule views.
- From the "Schedule" tab, select the shifts you want to bulk edit by checking the boxes located over the position on the shift.

- Once two or more boxes are checked, you will see a blue bar at the top of your screen. Click "Delete".

- You will get a pop-up message to confirm, select a cancellation/delete reason then "Delete". Or click "Cancel" to exit this window.

- The selected shifts are now deleted, any shift with a placement is available to view by using filters. Click here for more information.
Copy and Paste Multiple Shifts
Weekly by Employee Schedule view
This view allows you to copy shifts across employees with the same position type as the shift you copy from. All shift information will be copied to the new employee(s) or day(s).
- From the "Schedule" tab navigate to the "Weekly by employee" schedule view.
- Hover over the shift you want to paste over multiple employees and/or days and click "Copy"

- Next, hover over a cell to and click on a checkbox to select the day or employee you want the shift to be pasted into.

- You can then click the arrow in the teal bar at the top to continue pasting into future weeks

- You can then click the arrow in the teal bar at the top to continue pasting into future weeks
- Once you are happy click "Paste" on the right side of the teal bar.
- You will also see a confirmation indicating which shift you are copying and to how many cells.

- You can always click "Return to schedule" on the left to cancel this action.

Weekly by Shift time view
This view allows you to copy one employee's shift across multiple days. All shift information will be copied to the new day(s).
- From the "Schedule" tab navigate to the "Weekly by Shift time" schedule view.
- Hover over the employee's shift you want to paste across days/weeks and click "Copy".

- Next, click on the checkboxes at the top of the schedule by the dates to choose the days you want to copy the shift to.

- You can then click the arrow in the teal bar at the top to continue pasting into future weeks

- You can then click the arrow in the teal bar at the top to continue pasting into future weeks
- Once you are happy click "Paste" on the right side of the teal bar.
- You will also see a confirmation indicating how many days you are copying to.
